Question Re-Animator: Beyond

Just wondering if anyone has heard any news on the possible release of this film, or if production has even started yet. I was able to keep myself updated for a while but then most of my sources went missing. Can't even get the Lion's Gate website to load for some reason. Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

Kinda suck's Yuzna is directing it instead of Gordon. Excited just the same though.

Hey, I like Yuzna, I thought Faust was cool. I'm still stoked about Stuart Gordan's Dagon, can't wait until that one comes out.

As far as Beyond Re-Animator goes, I don't know if it is ever going to happen. In recent interviews Jeffery Combs has said that he doesn't even know if a script is finished, and because of some undislosed legal reasons he doesn't think the film will ever happen, and he should know.

Yuzna's awesome but Gordon was the guy who made Re-Animator a classic.

I second that. The plot sounds a little weak to me, with the souls and stuff...hopefully it will turn out well.
take care

I wouldn't mind seeing Beyond Re-Animator. Here's hoping that The Shadow Over Innsmouth will see the light of day. The creature sketches by Berni Wrightson looked promising.

Is 'Dagon,' that Stuart Gordon's supposedly now a retitling of Shadow Over Innsmouth?

Re-Animator is my favorite film of all time, so I can't wait to check out the new one when (and if ) it ever happens. The plot does sound like it could be a little weak, but Yuzna did a good job with Bride, so I'm going to hope this will live up to my expectations. Although it probably won't since nothing ever is as good as I think it will be.

Actually DAGON is the Insmouth adaptation. He just changed it a little here and there over the years since the original project fell through. Now instead of it being one man going ot the town (like in the original story) its a couple and so forth. Looks very promising. You can view the trailer here...
