Awesome news. I really like this film, I can still recall seeing it in the cinema as a kid on its initial run. Scared the crap out of me the scene with the long slither of glass. Can't wait for this release.

"Prom Night" is terrific - I actually saw the TV broadcast in the spring of '81 (how did this film get to regular TV so darn fast??????) before seeing it theatrically in July of '81 as the indoor co-feature "Final Exam" (yes, "Exam" needed a co-feature draw even in its premiere weekend which I found odd. Same thing happened to "The Burning" and "Deadly Blessing").
Anyway I'm very excited for "Prom" and "Curtains" - I have $$ set aside already.

For those of you wanting a bit of an update on PROM NIGHT, it looks as if we found some of the additional television footage in the boxes of outtakes we uncovered recently. While we're not 100% sure we have ALL the television footage at this point (does anyone have a breakdown of what additional footage was included in the original television broadcast), we have uncovered a few odd scenes... like THIS one, that is mentioned on the IMDB listing as a television scene. I knew the wait to dig through the additional vaulted boxes of film would be worth it!

A part of me wants these movies right away. It's a "Devil & Angel on my shoulder" situation. Another part of me wants Synapse to take their time so they can do it right (did I just reference the SOS Band song?). It's great that they're digging through boxes looking for material but at this pace it feels like it'll be a couple of years before we see Curtains or Prom Night released. I don't know where I'll be in a couple of years. And Suspiria is pencilled in for December '14? Dream on

Those two are on my "Most Wanted 2014" list

Synapse does take a long time with their releases, but itīs always worth it, since they put in a LOT of work into the transfers. And they all come out perfect
