The Tommyknockers belongs on this list. Hocus Pocus and My Boyfriend's Back do not.

Anyway, '93 was definitely a bit weak. Although I haven't seen Cronos or Ticks (and the trailer is friggin' awesome).

I'll admit a personal weakness this time only: seeing 11 votes for Jason Goes to Hell makes me want to cry. That's 11 votes for Jason impregnating his sister and the worst music score I have ever heard for a film. In my entire life. Did...the 80's never end for some of you?

I've never seen it, but I kind of wish Hocus Pocus didn't exist.

Man... this is surreal: if I go to another message board, I could conceivably be stoned for saying anything bad about Hocus Pocus... but let me tell you what's wrong with Hocus Pocus: Bette Midler, Kathy Najimi, and Sarah Jessica Parker are having all this fun goofing around and they walk onscreen and flash their silly teeth and hit each other like The Three Stooges and they're singing. Then when you cutaway to the people they're talking to, either they're screaming or their eyes are filled with rage or they're trying to be brave and about to hit one of them like they're scared they're going to die...

There's actually a scene in Salem where they're about to be hanged...BECAUSE THEY KILLED SOMEONE'S KID! For real! And they're still making jokes. We saw them kill the kid too. She was a little girl. Barely 10. The pilgrims are like, "Foul Beast! We know you killed our daughter! Now what have you done to our son?!" and the witches are giggling like kids called to the principal's office.

haha really? that's nuts. Even as an 11 year old, when this came out I thought it was terrible. I haven't seen it since 1993, but I remember renting it, and I remember hating it.

Mick Garris wrote it. Mick Garris + Disney... Give it a minute, let it fully sink in.

Really adds a whole new meaning to this exchange, don't you think:

Bette Midler Witch: "We desire... children."
Bus Driver: "Hey, that may take me a couple of tries, but I don't think that'd be a problem."
