wow. lousy year. is this the worst one yet? possibly.

The Host (disappointed by how boring it was)
Silent Hill (only saw this once on a "full screen" DVD that my wife bought - almost no memory of it)
Slither (of the main films, the only one I really liked)
Saw III (well, it's finally happened - I've finally voted for a Saw film in one of these...)
Bug (enjoyed enough the first time, but couldn't make it through a second time - "I am the queen mother bug!!!!!")

A shame that Cold Prey and Hatchet didn't make the cut, as either one of those is better than everything else on the list combined.

That's what I meant with solid year. 21-30 are way better than 1-20.

Really struggling to find five i really like in these later years. Any chance of doing the 60s or even the 50s? Thanks Hellbilly

Surprised all the hate for this year. I personally think it's a great year! Hills Have Eyes is one of my favourite movies of the 2000s, and one of the few remakes that I think is better then the original. Final Destination 3 is my favourite of the series after the first one. Yeah, Hatchet and Cold Prey would have made my list had they been included, but I still had to leave off some good picks to make this top 5. Great year in my opinion!

The Hills Have Eyes
Final Destination 3
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning
Silent Hill
Slither

Disagreed on the assessment of this year--Slither and Fido are great, fun horror films. The latter is one of my favorites.

Will do those most likely after the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s.

Everything that didn't make the cut is better than anything that did?

Hellbilly, you should go back and look at the top 2 chosen films from each year of the decade, and make a master list of the Your Top 5 of the 70s, 80s, 90s, etc. Just an idea!

The issue I have with 2006, and have for the past 6 or so years that I've noticed this, is that it's LITTERED with so much shit. There was a huge boom of horror that happened somewhere in 2005, and 2006 served us a whopper. Because of this, there is a lot more good to choose from when compared to 1995, 1996, 2004, etc... but the overall grade is hampered by some dull messes.

At least Hatchet didn't make it, so I don't have to see people vote for that mess.
