The quality of the Dir Cut of AOD is fantastic, I have it It has all 3 cuts of the movie. The Dir cut has the best PQ.

Yeah ive ordered Red Sun and will order the french AOD, and can finally let my dvds of Red Sun the directors cut of AOD go. Will hold on to my UK AOD blu ray as it will have better image than the theatrical cut on the french and the UK edition also retains the audio commentary which seems to be missing from the french.

Phantasm (1979)

Midnight Run (1988) - My #1 non horror film that I would want released.

The Sword and the Sorcerer (1982)

The Beastmaster (1982)

The Addams Family (1991)

Addams Family Values (1993)

The Abyss (1989) - I hear this might come out in 2014

Amen. What kind of world do we live in? You can get Zaat and Santa Claus Conquers The Martians in high-definition but not the bulk of Peckinpah's catalog? Or Robert Altman's? I'm much more troubled by the absence of great films than genre films at this point.

Nashville is at the top of my wish list.

That's not entirely true, any transfers are still legally owned by the person who makes the transfers. So if you were to take a film print of NotLD you had and make a HD transfer the NotLD rights owners wouldn't even be able to use it without permission if they copied your Blu-ray.

Proving that a transfer came from your specific print and your scan was trickier in the analog days but in the digital age it would be much simpler. That's why you don't see millions of NotLD Blu-rays on store shelves but DVD bins overflowing with them. Afterall that's why Miramax made an HD scan.

I suspect someone, probably Miramax, is still sitting on NotLD. Having spoken with a few distributors at conventions there is interest in releasing it but fear of having your transfer stolen is not what's holding it up. I suspect something is up, like another remake but from a big fish (like the Savini one).

Yeah totally, I have been holding off picking up Stepfather in case they do a trilogy box set.

Would love to get Psycho IV to complete the series also
