Jason Lives trailer

I'm not sure if this has been discussed before of not but has anyone else noticed that the Jason Lives trailer on the past DVD and current blu ray release is not the complete trailer? The original trailer as shown in theaters back in 1986 has the coffin open and the words "Jason Lives: Friday the 13th VI" float out in a ghostly manner. It's seems Paramount provided the original unfinished materials for the dvd/blu release. Below is a screen shoot I took years ago of the the trailer in a theater for comparison.

Interesting. Always did wonder why they drew out this long reveal of the open casket and then...nothing happened. On the DVD trailer it just stays on the coffin for an extra few seconds, so it's not as if the footage was cut, it's just that the version we see is missing the text overlay.

That is exactly what it is. The trailer isn't supposed to be any longer it just doesn't have the text overlay. Also a black card comes up at the end which reads somthing to the effect of "The Terror Returns this August". I can't remember if that is still on the trailer on the dvd.
