Halloween 6,7,8 Blu Canada vs. US?

I have had the Canadian Alliance blu ray for several years now and have never upgraded to the crappy US discs. I hear mostly bad things like H20 framed wrong and whatnot but I was wondering are any of the US counterparts worth double dipping on? Since each film gets it's own disc in the US I figured maybe the bitrate would be better and the discs are super cheap. Any thoughts?

The US discs are a downgrade in every way! Terrible transfers, wrong aspect ratios, etc. Except for the single release of H:R, which carried over most of the special features from the DVD. But I'd still pop in my alliance disc to watch the movie...

The best H20 version out there is the French Studiocanal release.
