Devil's Due

Anyone seen this trailer yet? I saw it the other day and it actually looks kinda decent and scary. Looks like a mix of Rosemary's Baby and Paranormal Activity

Looks awful and generic, like all the other overdone possession/POV/found footage films of the last couple years. Big time pass.

I'm burned out on found footage, so will definitely be waiting for video, maybe even HBO or Netflix.

Every January there's always a crappy devil/possession/exorcism movie, usually from Lionsgate. This one includes found footage nonsense? Not even worth a rental IMO. Pass

This thread did not go at all as vampyr76534189 had planned.

You're quite right Workshed.. haha, but it's okay!
I can be a little too optimistic about movies sometimes.

I like the poster, tho:

Unless reviews are truly awful, I can see this being a fun rental.

That promotional Devil Baby in New York video they did that's currently all over the net is pretty funny.

I'm surprised at how awful this looks considering it is from Radio Silence, the guys who wrote/directed/stared in the "10/31/98" segment from V/H/S. I was really looking forward to their first film but wow, this looks so uninspired.

Well, my roommate and I felt like going to see a horror movie in the theatre tonight and the only two choices were "found footage" movies, so it was either the new Paranormal Activity or Devil's Due. Despite absolutely no interest in either we decided to go with the non-sequel. Devil's Due is no different than the other movies in this sub genre… and possibly worse than the majority even. Flat characters with no background, hidden cameras, night vision, formulaic jump scares, a cult, etc. etc. etc. It goes through the "found footage" check list as if it's a high school dunce copying off the student in front of him on a test. Excruciatingly boring, predictable, and yet another "low-budget" movie designed to make bank rather than giving new filmmakers a voice - as there's no filmmakers' voice seen anywhere in Devil's Due…

Saw this on Friday, me and my friend were the only ones in the theater. I agree with every word of the above review, it sucked big time.

I saw this over the weekend as well, and actually thought it was a lot better than I expected it would be. There were a few shocking moments, and I thought the actors did a good job. It lost a little bit of the momentum with an ending that could have been scarier, but overall I liked it. I think if you give this one a chance (at least when it comes out on video) I think you might be pleasantly surprised.

Yeah I agree. It's not going to blow you away but still enjoyable and much better then expected.
