I'm looking forward to The Stuff. If Arrow is going to release any other Larry Cohen films, I hope they do Q: The Winged Serpent. From what I have seen in reviews of the Shout Factory region A release, they could have done better.

Hellgate shall be mine! I've known they were prepping the release, but finally we get an official announcement and artwork/features!

The Stuff, Phantom of the Paradise, and Hell Comes to Frogtown are also must buys!

They are also apparently releasing The Beast Within at some point. There was an poster insert stuck in my Lifeforce SteelBook that arrived today.

Does Arrow ship stuff out ahead of the release date if you order it direct from their website?

Arrow ships theyre releases early most of the time. But the international shipping takes 2-3 weeks (to Denmark) so usually i just order from amazon UK if theyre cheaper. I did recieve The Fury yesterday so sometimes it arrives early.

I love the treatment De Palma is getting on blu-ray. What's funny, though, is that Dressed to Kill and Blow Out were MGM titles and they often seem wiling to loan out their films to other studios so why won't they give up Carrie to a studio that will obviously do a better job? THAT is what is annoying me. Come on MGM, give up Carrie to Shout or Arrow or Criterion. Apparently MGM said the original elements for Carrie were in bad shape but that's probably a load of bullshit. It came out in 1976, how "bad" could they really be? And for a movie like CARRIE? Come on...

Nice list...I wonder how Arrow's Tinto Brass BD's will compare to the Cult Epic one's?...I have Cheeky and the transfer isn't anything special.

A few years ago I'd agree MGM could license Carrie out, but with the recent remake I doubt they'll let it out of their sight like that; even if it means just releasing an identical disc along with the remake.

So much good stuff but Phantom of the Paradise is what I'm most looking forward too. Awesome art too! I wonder if these as close stateside...

I'm hoping Arrow has their sights on Gothic which is under MGM's control in the UK. There was a relatively recent HD transfer done for it so even the least amount of effort on this could produce a nice Blu-ray.

Glad to see that White of the Eye will be on Blu. Unsettling film. Looking forward to The Beast Within also.

I've never seen Hellgate but the trailer has me interested. I'm definitely interested in The Stuff. Some of the others I may have to check out before buying though.

At 1:51:20, Jeff Nelson and Cliff MacMillan of Shout! Factory mention that apparently they had the rights to Carrie at some point, but lost it. MGM wanted them to have the film scanned, and Shout! had agreed to this, but then MGM apparently wouldn't give them access to the materials to do the scan.

Hellgate is truly one of the best bad movies out there. Troll 2 ain't got nothing on it. I can't recommend it enough.

Anyone who hasn't seen it, I believe it's available on American Netflix if you have access. Just make sure you pick the one from 1989 and not the crappy new one.

Err... I agree that Hellgate is a great bad movie, but it can't quite come close to touching Troll 2!

I really don't think it's that "bad" though, as everybody always proclaim everywhere. I just like it!

Agreed about the Troll 2 comparison. I always enjoyed Hellgate. Its sort of all over the place and quite fun. Color me surprised about this getting a Blu-ray release though.
