Smile Monsters (Series on the SciFi channel)

I never seen it before. Saw it will be playing on SciFi HD in a week from now. Looks like it might be pretty cool. I could not find it on Netflix or other popular resources. Has anybody watched it at all?

I used to watch this a lot when it was on the air. My recollections are that it was good. More fun than scary, but still usually enjoyable.

I finally got to watching this. It is playing on the Chiller channel, not SciFi.
This show has the Tales From The Script vibe, but in a good way. There is usually some sort of interesting twist towards the end after the monster has been revealed. I got instantly hooked on this. If anybody has a chance to catch this on TV, I highly recommend it. There is some early work by some interesting actors like David Spade, Kevin Nealon, Matt Lablanc and some others.

I remember this series and remember watching it as a child on Sci-fi. Wasn't this made Rubenstein & Co. as kind of a successor to Tales from the Darkside? They should put this on DVD too.

Yup, basically Darkside without Romero's name attached to it.

It's much more comedic in tone than Darkside. I always felt it was kind of like a TV show version of a "Cracked: Monster Party" issue

I have always loved "Monsters"!! I bought the entire Series on DVD from one of the vendors at the Rock N' Shock Horror Convention last year. I have been enjoying the show again and some of the Episodes are new to me. It is more of a comic show in tone, but some of the Episodes are creepy and serious as well.

Some of my favorites are "The Match Game" with the lovely Ashley Laurence("Hellraiser") and Tori Spelling! I talked with Ashley at the Horror Convention and I told her how much I loved her Episode and asked her if she ever thought they would release the series on DVD and she joked that it may never come out because Tori Spelling would be holding them back from releasing it! Ha Ha!

"The Jar" with a young and Very Sexy Gina Gershon is a standout as well.

"Desirable Alien" with Deborah Harry of Blondie is pretty fun as well!!

So many Good Episodes in this Series. If they start from the beginning, then you will prob be seeing "New York Honey" very soon with a Hot Pre NYPD Blue Andrea Thompson as the wife of a Beekeeper with a secret of her own as well!!

They played both "New York Honey" and "Desirable Alien" yesterday.
Monsters also has one of the best intro's with a very cool theme song.

This week they are playing 'Sin-Sop', 'Leavings', 'Holly's House', 'The Vampire Hnter', 'My Zombie Lover', 'The Legacy', 'Sleeping Dragon' and some others. These ones have recorded on my DVR but I have not watched them yet. Damn work keeping me away from Monsters.

It looks like this will finally be hitting dvd:

http://www.amazon.com/Monsters-Compl...omplete+series

I cannot wait, this was a favorite of mine as a teenager. So many great stories, a few stinkers too but you can't win them all. I'll just be happy to have them as a legit release on dvd.

The only episode I've seen is the Match Game one and it was awesome.

Definitely interested in picking this one up.
