Sleepaway Camp II and III blu-rays

" "Angela" is coming back to Scream Factory...
Next Summer we are planning to release Blu-ray Collector's Editions of both SLEEPAWAY II: UNHAPPY CAMPERS & SLEEPAWAY CAMP III: TEENAGE WASTELAND. Both films were requested heavily after we released the original this past May. No details to report at this time on extras, transfers, artwork etc.
As we start to wind down for the holidays (we will be out of the office from 12/24 - 1/5) we wanted to s.hare with you this exciting news beforehand. We thank you for your loyal and undying support this crazy year (over 40 releases!) and we hope to entice you with more greatness and rediscoveries in 2015."

I am not a fan but I am sure some of you are

Yes! I'm a huge fan. The Anchor Bay DVDs are crap so I can't wait. It's been a long time since I revisited these two.

Hell yes! This is great news to close the year with.

Now... if they'd only release Slumber Party Massacre II & III on Blu-ray.

Nice! I am a fan and will definitely pick this up.

Now I wish Shout! would team with Synapse to do the "Prom Night" sequels.

I never understood the love for these. They feel like completely different films than the first.

This will probably sound stupid, but I'm going to miss the menu music from when you'd plug the DVDs in. "Are you having fun, the fun has just begun..." "Mom and daddy put their trust in you..." Whenever I'd put the discs in, it'd put me right in the mood for these movies.

The Survival Kit was actually one of the first DVDs I ever bought, and I watched the hell out of it. I'm excited to upgrade, but it's also a little bittersweet.

They are indeed very different than the first film, but they're just pure 80's low-budget camp fun.

I've only seen the first one and the third one - the third one had nothing of what I loved about the first one. I didn't care for it, and it left me uninclined to watch the second one.

It's hard with sequels where there is a huge tonal shift. My sister and I randomly stumbled on the first one in the 80s and were just floored at the whole thing - the acting, the language, how dirty it felt and of course the ending. It became kind of a family "bonding" film, as warped as that sounds.

The second and third were so lazy and comedic and rushed. No dread, no intrigue. The spirt of the first did not exist at all in them.

I enjoy them both in the same way I enjoy Slumber Party Massacre II. Dumb but fun cheesefests.

The original is definitely better and one of my all time fave slashers.

can't wait for these films, especially part 2, but I will get part 3 as well. I remember seeing these years ago on Cinemax, and liking them, I never bought them on DVD, so it will be nice to have them on blu ray finally.
