MAD DOCTOR OF BLOOD ISLAND (DVD)
THE NUDE VAMPIRE (DVD): Image
RAIDERS OF THE LIVING DEAD (DVD)
A VIRGIN AMONG THE LIVING DEAD (VHS, DVD)

This list is quite disappointing IMO. A few good movies, but a lot of worthless trash. There are many better movies which deserve a DVD release.
Why can't Image release the classics such as "Long Hair of Death", "House with the Windows that Laugh", "The House that screamed" , "The Ghost" or "Mill of the Stone Women" instead of an awful piece of crap such as "Dracula, Dirty Old Man"?...

CURSE OF THE HEADLESS HORSEMAN was one of the worst films I've ever seen.

Yes, too many stupid titles on that list, but "Phantom Ship" with Bela Lugosi, "Devil Doll", and Pete Walker's underrated "The Comeback" with Richard Johnson and crooner Jack Jones are musts for me.

None of these are officially announced and the dates aren't set in stone, they're just titles that were cut + pasted from Fangoria's website. I should probably point out that just because a title isn't on that list doesn't mean it's not coming out. They also only represent the horror titles, which is why a ton of the upcoming Something Weird Video titles aren't on the list (SWV will actually be releasing 2-4 titles a month).

Talking gobble, gobble...

Well, I'm ecstatic about Blood Freak getting a DVD release. It's a Christian/anti-drug movie with gore thrown into the mix. Some poor sap eats a experimental turkey and turns into a blood thirsty turkey creature! It's bad movie heaven. Can you dig it?

Wow, as a lover of low-grade schlock, I for one am thrilled with some of the titles on that list. BLOOD FREAK, NIGHT OF THE BLOODY APES, MAD DOCTOR OF BLOOD ISLAND, BEACH GIRLS AND THE MONSTER, NIGHT OF THE GHOULS, DR. DRACULA and HORROR OF THE BLOOD MONSTERS. Someone pinch me!

Of course if this was AB, then all of you would buy them all and prase them? Actually some classic grade z psychotronic films, many a must see or own if you are into bad cult cinema, like MAD DOCTOR OF BLOOD ISLAND, NIGHT OF BLOODY APES, BLOOD FREAKS, EXORCISM AT MIDNIGHT, VIRGIN AMOUNG THE LIVING DEAD,

and some decent to excellent films like THE CONFESSIONAL, AND NOW THE SCREAMING STARTS, COMEBACK,ASYLUM OF SATAN.

As for HILLS HAVE EYES 2, they better get wes craven to do commentary, love to hear how he will defend this travesity. and for RETURN OF SWAM THING jim wynorski, a real fun guy in person, his commentary are always fun to listen to.

Someoe actually liked BLOOD FREAKS? i paid 30 bucks for this new, off Marshal Disount Videos (yes, I used to buy videos for 59.99 in the 80's) for everyone, including psychotronic book recmmended it, but it was sooo boring, i fell asleep and walk up just to see the end where a chicken got its head cut off or something. if my memory serves me correct, isnt thyis the one with a paper macet chicken mask ver his head?

I thought the film was very entertaining. The film kept making the audience think it was a real life curse/ghost killing people, but it was like a scooby-doo episode as it turns out it was not a ghost. The film contains, a beatnik with a hat, pack of hippie losers, great regional improv stage show with canned in audience respond, and to top it off some good camera angle. I saw this as a double bill at the old Midway drive-in back in 1979 with CARNIVAL OF BLOOD, and they both look like old movies. (carninval had Burt Young under another name so it must be made before 1970). I would highly recommded it if this dvd is coming out legit. I bought some SW dvd and the ones that is not legit like BLOODSUCKERS it was edited. If SW paid for the right (maybe) than this would be a treat if they use the original master. SW is notorious for non-copywritten release so I hope they do the right thing and pay for it and get the master on this one.

I've watched HEADLESS once back in the 80s on video and remember being sick or having a fever at that time.
Anyways, HEADLESS was a tough one to sit through: I was puking in a bucket while watching a film I'd thought was terrible and boring as hell.
I should give it a second try sometime though. Seems like I missed out some interesting stuff you've described.
