I'm sure this has been brought up before, but hey, I'm new.
Does anyone know if any studios are planning on releasing this DVD in R1? I know there's a good European transfer, but haven't heard Jack or Shit about R1. Anyone? |

Unfortunately there are no plans whatsoever to release this film in R1. This really annoys me since the film WAS a theatrical and video success in the US. Maybe the film is messed up in legal ownership battles? I dunno.
I own the Laser Paradise "Red Edition" DVD from Germany and its great. This R2 DVD is in PAL so it will be problematic for those in the US whereas I am in Australia so we get PAL and NTSC on all our VHS, DVD players and TV sets

Arg. That's annoying, but not surprising in the lest. I guess I can hope and pray that AB will eventually scoop it up for a 2-disc set.

Have we gotten confirmation on the best version and the best place to purchase, ntsc/pal and region problems aside?

The best version is also the only version available on DVD and that is the German "Red Edition" DVD from Laser Paradise which is titled Dellamorte Dellamore. R2 and PAL.

I was never aware of the Spanish DVD. Either way, the German disc is by far the superior according to my own viewings (I have it) and reviews all over the web.
