Does anybody know what's going on with this release? Amazon has it listed with a price but there is no release date. Does anyone know which company is releasing it and if it's cut? Any info would be great. I've been wanting to see this movie for quite some time.

Anchor Bay was supposed to release it but they cancelled it, then anounced it again, not it is listed for a 2003 release.

I don't know if it helps any, but Astro released this uncut on dvd, the downside is that it is Region 2 and Pal, also it is German only.

The Astro disc appears to be region 0 but it's still german-only and has a horribly-cropped image. The only upside of it all is that it's uncut, but the anchor bay disc probably will be as well.

The Astro DVD is region 0 and does indeed contain the "added porn". When I saw the cut version of this movie, many, many, many years ago, I wondered why they kept looking into the stable?

If you get get it and really want the movie, who cares if you can understand what they are saying (there are no subtitles). Non Gemser fans would better better off spending their money on a "Barely Legal" DVD>

Maybe one of you can help me out. I've never truly seen Emmanuelle In America in any form but have heard so much about the uncut version over the years that I feel obligated to see it. A curiosity piece I guess.
But, to the point. When I was 12 or so I got the shock of my life watching "Cinemax After Dark" while my parents were away. There was this obviously imported,english dubbed film which I faintly remember. About all I do recall is a scene with a woman saying,and I approximate..."Like a stud and his mare" right after that line came out of her mouth it cut to a graphic scene with two horses engaged in the act. I was never so shocked in my life. I'm not sure if it was the scene itself that shocked me or the fact that cinemax would actually show something like that. I never did find out for sure what movie it was but later assumed it may possibly have been Emmanuelle In America,was it?

I know cinemax wouldn't show THAT version. I was thinking it was maybe a softer,cut version. If I'd seen the uncut version at 12 yrs old I'd probably be scarred for life,that is if it's really as repulsive as I've read. Sometimes people can exagerate, like with AB's version of Mountain of the Cannibal God.

Yea, I agree about the overexageration with the AB Mountain of the Cannibal God disc. I was expecting like 10 minutes of pure pig fucking, and nothing.

In an interview, Bill Lusteg insisted that the eventual Anchor Bay release will be the full all-out horse-lovin' Cronenberg-inspirin' power snuff version!!! Considering that the uncut version apparently contains hardcore sex this will be an interesting step for AB (though Synapse is branching out into smut with The Image later this month...).
