Fraility
I'm probably gonna go see this movie tomorrow night when it comes out. The previews for it look good and what the critics say about it on the trailer seem pretty good . I was just wondering if anyone had a chance to see it already at an advanced screening or has heard anything about it.
Thanks |

I cant wait to see this movie. All I've heard is good things about it and Bill Paxton is a cool guy, so I hope he wouldnt do us horror fans wrong and direct a piece of crap. I'll be there today, if not, for sure this weekend.

Man, I feel let down. I had pretty decent hopes for this movie too. I found it to be boring, bland, repititous, and ultra ultra predictable. I have no beef with Paxton's directing. I just thought it could have been better written. I haven't seen a movie this predictable in awhile. I give it a thumbs down. It did have potential though.

It's more of a drama than a horror film, and there is NO gore. There are a few nice twists throughout, but unfortunately the first half is directed SO flatly that the spiraling dementia actually turns into a broad black comedy - an INEXCUSABLE misstep in a film that should be as deadly serious as humanly possible. After the opening 45-minute laff riot it’s IMPOSSIBLE to take the subsequent grimness soberly, and the film fails to maintain suspense because of it.
A nice effort, but overall I wouldn’t recommend it. More of a foul tip than a home run.

I thought it was a little slow, but I absolutely loved the script. All in all I liked the film, but don't know if it is worth a second viewing.

very lacking. i had high hopes to. Couild have been so much better. Distubing content, but unfotunately it didn't come across that way. They kill people with an axe for God's sake! it should have been more brutal, more suspenseful and frighteneing. 2 out of 5 stars. the kids are good actors, and paxton's direction was pretty good., but yes, the style was dull.

I guess I'm the only one who enjoyed this then. I know it had it's problems, but I still thought it was well done and I enjoyed it a lot. Maybe it was just because I hadn't seen a movie like it in a long time in the theater, but I thought it was good. I also noticed the lack of gore (well, some in the end), but I thought it was an intentional thing, not an MPAA thing, so I didn't see it as a fault.
