Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals DVD

Hi, Which is the best DVD to get for "Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals"? I'm not really interested in special features, I'm just interested in the version with the highest quality video, sound, most un-cut, etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!

You should get a the Japan Shock version. It is uncut, oar and has some nice extras (trailer, complete ost etc.).

Question

Does anyone know when the line of Emanuelle movies from AB are going to hit store shelves? Which ones are the best to pick up first?

Thanks for the tip Jeff. I've heard of these two titles too. But there is more I think. What about the ones that play on Cinemax and Showtime? Are they from the same director?

Exclamation cable tv Emmanuelle VS Emanuelle VS Emmanuelle

the cable tv Emmanuelle shows are shit
there are many directors who took stabs at the "Emmanuelle" film
as well as the "Emanuelle" film it's a very confusing subject but the films featuring Laura Gemser are known as "Black Emanuelle" films, basicly the "Emanuelle" films are Italian exploits of the French film "Emmanuelle" and there some films that are just retitled with an Emanuelle title.
just a small list of some of the directors of "Emanuelle" films:
Abalberto Albertini aka albert Thomas
Joe D'Amato
Bruno Mattei
as for Emmanuelle films

Just Jaeckin
Jean Rollin
Francis Leroi
Francis Giacobetti
Walerian Borowczyk
just to name a few

oops I almost forgot Jess Franco also took a stab at them with Tender and Perverse Emanuelle

I see...

Thanks skinny. So the "Black Emanuelle" movies are the ones to go for. Can you give me a list of these movies vs the others?

I don't think Anchor Bay is releasing "Emmanuelle and the Last Cannibals", at least it's not on their DVDs in the future list.<br>

Nice review Jason.

Sorry for the confusion Atmims and Jeff. It looks like AB is going to get some nice Emanuelle titles next year. Hopefully there filled with extras and not bare bones.
