Halloween 4, to tin or not to tin?

Well after reading the review on this site, seems like the regular dvd is the way to go, but the tin will double it's value, like other tins, but that means I can never open the darn thing for re-sell value. Since 4 was way better than 5 or 6 and h20, what wouldyou guys do/buy?

i'd go with the regular version. i bought the tin and the fucker has nothing extra than a typical dvd. it has a lame excuse of a "4 page" book, but it's pretty shitty.

as for doubling it's value, i don't know about that. a lot of stores around here still have that tin for sale (and it's only like $25).

Definitely go with the regular version, the tin is a joke. That goes for Halloween 5 too.

I love the AB tins but I don't think they are going to be releasing any more in the near future. As far as the materials included in the tins verses the regular versions...they are the same except that the tin is # counted. I'm a sucker for tins.

I'm a sucker for tins, too!

Bought all the AB tins apart from Heathers which I wasn't able to purchase. Don't know why I bought the Candy tin, though!

I think the tins add a touch of class to any shelf of DVDs...a talking point and good looking items, IMHO....

i am a sucker for the Tins as well.

I just like them and even if the Disc inside is the same, you still get those really cool tins.

I Think that AB said they don't intend to release any more Tins, but hopefully they will find another creative packaging concept.

In this case, Halloween 4, I really think buying the tin would be a waste of money. As previous posters have mentioned, they can still be found almost everywhere and it's been nearly a year since it was released. I don't think the value will increase that significantly. Add to that the sparse supplemental material you get in the tin-packaging itself and at least I think the extra $10 could be better spent (perhaps on a MGM Midnight Movie, right ArrowBeach? ).

I'm still looking for the Let Sleeping Corpses Lie tin. I found a copy of it at Suncoast a while back but I didn't have enough $$$ to get it. Now I can't find it anywhere. I'll just have to order it and see if there are any more copies to be had.

I'll do that Arrow. If anything maybe a Suncoast who has a copy in stock can send it to the Suncoast I order it from. Hey Arrow, what are the specs on the tin and how are they different from the regular edition?

Same here dude....if there is a tin to be had and its a movie I'm interested in it has to be mine. Tins are so cool looking if not a pain in the arse to store.

But the tin in this case doesn't really add to the "edition" if you know what I mean. Everyone else gets the same transfer and extras on the actual DVD as you guys. But, hey, to each his own. However, I too usually want the best possible edition of a movie when buying it but this particular title and edition doesn't really warrant it.

I popped in my Halloween 4:SE disc yesterday, hoping to watch it for only the second time since I've owned it. To my surprise the disc was not recognized in all 4 of my DVD players (including DVD-ROM). This is the first time an AB disc has shut down on me like this, but thankfully they will let me send it back for a reimbursement. Has anyone else had similar problems with this disc?

Question

I'm not interested in the Halloween tins though I see them a lot. Other than the Evil Dead II, The Beyond, Hellraiser and Let Sleeping Corpses Lie what other tins are available from AB?
