Cats Eye

Are there any fans of this Stephen King movie? It was probably one of the first horror movies I watched as a kid. HBO played it over and over and over....

Any news of this flick coming to dvd???

I love that film!

any kinda film that is a collection of short horror/sci fi stories-
is for me

some that pop in to my mind are:

Nightmares

Dr. terror's house of horrors

Night gallery

Creepshow

Creepshow 2

Twilight zone - the movie (and original series-and The original Outer limits, coming soon to a dvd near u!-cannot wait )

Tales from the crypt (film) but also the series-some good stuff! (not to mention the comics that it came from) I'm a comic book geek from the late 60's - 1 of these days I will post some facts on where (Imho) Mr. Lucas got his idea and/or inspiration for Star wars -(he was also a self confessed comic book "fan")

there are more, but I can't think of them at the moment

help an old forgetful mind out here, and list yours plz !

sadly - so far as I know (of the one's I listed)

only Nightmares/Creepshow/Cs2/ are on dvd in region 1

I may be wrong, plz correct me, if so.

CHEERS! jefff

I'm a fan of this decent horror anthology. It had some amusing cameos from Cujo & Christine. The "Quitters Inc." segment rocked! MGM, release it on DVD!

It was just decent, but that first segment went a long way in making the film what it was. I love a paranoid James Woods (or for that mater Woods playing in any role- fantastic actor, no?) and love when “Every Breath You Take” (that’s the name, right?) plays over the party scene. Kinda went down from there though.

Great King movie. I actually thought it was on DVD, but obviously I was wrong. I'd pick this up in a second. I love anthology movies and this would be a sweet addition to my collection.

Short Story Horror Films

2 More horror films comprised of short stories that come to my mind are Deadtime Stories and the excellent Trilogy of Terror.

The very good Amicus anthology 'Asylum' is out on DVD as part of Image's Euroshock Collection.

Also, Tales from the Hood, Tales from the Crypt: The Robert Zemeckis Collection.

crank

I'm still personally waiting for the original Amicus film, Tales From the Crypt to hit disc.

Any fans of Jeff Burr's The Offspring? I love the first segment. It had Clu Gulager (of ROTLD fame) getting his groove on with a dead chick and something bad happens. Let's just say that he should've worn a rubber.
Damn, I wish it was on DVD.

I love Cat's Eye. It was one of the first horror films I saw as a kid, and I've liked it ever since. My favorite story is the Troll one, but the Quitters Inc. is definitely great as well. Those two are the best stories on any horror anthology, IMO.

DVD File has some good news. The DVD from Warner will come out on 10/1 and the features are: 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen, English 2.0 stereo mix, director commentary, um... filmographies, and the trailer. I'll be picking this one up for sure.

Nice to see that its finally hitting disc. On a related sidenote, King's It is also coming out the same day. It seems a lot of people knock it, but when I was a kid I enjoyed watching the It mini-series on TV. Why does it seem everyone hates it so much?
