i think its a safe bet that its uncut... i really think Anchor Bay would be smarter then to release a cut version of the film, especially when there is like 3 other DVDs of this film out to choose from.

i would love some confirmation tho, just to put my mind at ease.

That is great that AB is finally releasing this cheese classic. I can't wait to see this baby anamorphically enhanced. I am just happy that I held off on importing the EC disc.

Looks like AB did a really good job with the transfer. Maybe Best Buy will get it early, since it's already been reviewed and it's not due out till August.

Is anybody other than myself also looking forward to The Anticrhist, Curse of the Devil and The Werewolf's Shadow just as much as Nightmare City?

Nightmare City sounds like another solid film release for AB but I can't but help think that AB should but a little more in the way of extras on their releases to sweeten the deal. I mean how much more would it really have to take to add some extra odds and ends?

yeah i wish they did put in a few more extras. i get exited when theres a packed AB disc and i wish this was one of them. oh well..theyll prolly revisit it again and make a better one.

I am looking forward to them more than nightmare city!

as for extras Trashard you should be glad that the first time you'll be seeing the film is on an Anchor Bay dvd with a nice transfer and uncut ,instead of a crappy 3rd gen bootlegg

If you really think NC is a classic then you should buy the AB AND the ITALIAN SHOCK discs.
IT's disc has the entire sountrack ot the film (including that Grace Jones horrible but funny song), a 50 minute interview with Lenzi plus a scene specific Commentrary by him. I will sure by AB's disc but as for the extras AB can't outdo Italian Shock.

I didn't enjoy "City of the Running Dead" aka Nightmare City (I watched it on tape last year) but I definitly want "Curse of the Devil" and "Werewolf Shadow". And according to the DVD Drive-In the transfers are superb.

I have the IS version and imported the entire soundtrack thru my capture card. I made them into high quality MP3's - you can get them off of morphues! Lesson of this story? Buy the AB version - it's anamorphic!
