I agree with Cujo, The Blair Witch Project is a classic, but so is The Sixth Sense. Both films were groundbreaking in the history of cinema and deserve recognition for their originality. Overall though, I am going to go with The Sixth Sense because I've watched it and enjoyed it more on subsequent viewings than BWP. I also thought Arnie's End of Days was not nearly as bad as everyone said it was.

The Sixth Sense was the best movie I'd seen that year over all...so that's what I picked.

I went with Ravenous. One of my favorites. I was torn between that, Sleepy Hollow, Idle Hands, and Stir of Echoes.

Audition was the clear winner for me. It came from left field and completely knocked me over. Superb.

Lake Placid.
Betty White had the best lines, and half a guy getting pulled into a boat was great!!!

At first I was a bit torn between Ravenous and Sleepy Hollow, but eventually I vent with Ravenous since I think it's clearly the scariest of the two and hence the best HORROR movie. Sleepy Hollow is awesome, but it's sort of more like a superb ghotic ghost-adventure-fantasy or something.
I still think Ravenous will turn out to be one of the biggest *cult* genre movies of the 90´s. One of those movies that almost every horror fan will name as a favorite in ten years or something like that. Defenetly a classic in my book anyway! |

Not one of my fave years of horrorfilms but finally I chose HOUSE ON THE HAUNTED HILL... When first saw the trailer for it I thought it would be great flick, but I was dead wrong, it sucked big time... But after a few views later of the movie I started to like it and it's really a movie that grow... Well it's not a masterpiece, but as I said give it a few chances...

What a shitty year.
I voted for Audition. It's a very beautiful and touching film. And clearly the best of the year.
