Halloween 4:SE

I was over at some site and I read this news. Don't know if you've already seen it, but here it is anyway:

Halloween 4:SE Update: As previously reported, Anchor Bay Entertainment announced during it's Halloween Party 2000 Reunion that they were going to be releasing a special edition DVD of Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers. This morning, I was told by Michael Felsher of Anchor Bay that they will be beginning working on the DVD sometime in Summer of 2001, in hopes of getting an early 2002 release. Right now, no other details on what the disc will contain was mentioned, but I am sure I am not the only fan looking forward to it.

I can't wait! Now if only AB acquired the rights to H2 and H3 then maybe we can see a nice box set

Hey, Mods, are we allowed to say the Site That Shall Not Be Mentioned now?

And for those who doubt said Site, this news of the SE has been at least rumored on Halloweenmovies.com, too, I think.

Afraid not.

All the other horror sites are cool - DVD Maniacs, Splatterhouse, etc. But mentioning that "other site" is blasphemy.

Yes, Anchor Bay is indeed working on a Halloween 4 SE DVD. It's scheduled for Fall 2001 - 16x9 enhanced, 5.1 and most likely THX certification. Extras aren't complete yet but they already have interviews with Danielle Harris and Ellie Cornell for the DVD (different from the H5 interviews, of course).

I was worried there for a minute.

I'm actually looking forward to that new H4 disc, since I have the original and I always like to upgrade to more features/better picture/etc. Plus I thought the H5 disc was well-done (for a POS film) with the featurette and so on. Though I don't think it's worth a tin... but that's another topic, right Django?

Wink

Heh...sorry, I didn't know about "the other site". I just thought I'd quote it since I never read it here...
