Question Best DePalma Film

Brian DePalma has made some great horror films over the years, but there has got to be a single film that stands out as his best...so what is it going to be?

DePalma has made some truly great films, but I've always thought that SISTERS is his best film, so I obviously voted for it. It is a brilliant psychological horror film, and I think it deserves more respect than it gets!

My favorite is “Blow Out”. A really fantastic movie that doesn’t seem to get the recognition it deserves.

I had to go with Scarface. There's just a certain quality to that film that makes me love every second of it. But Carrie and Carlito's Way were close seconds.

There are a few De Palma films that I thought would have been much better had they had a different cast. I would have liked Snake Eyes but Nic Cage performance was really weak, IMHO. Mission Impossible could have been better also but Tom Cruise its hard for me to see Tom Cruise as a super spy badass.

It has to be...

CASUALTIES OF WAR. The film has no faults, the acting is strong, as are the direction, screenplay, cinematography and the Ennio Morricone score is one of his finest.

Even tho I really love CARRIE I Had to vote for DRESSED TO KILL, a classy and sexy thriller. Provoking and unsettling. One of his best ever.

I love DePalma and had the pleasure of meeting him just last week!! I find it tough to choose between my four favorites which are CARRIE, DRESSED TO KILL, BLOW OUT and BODY DOUBLE. I went with Carrie because it's the one I've rewatched the most. Great poll.

BODY DOUBLE

I had to go with this as I've been reading alot of Bret Easton Ellis, and this was Patrick Bateman's favorite film. Its easy to see why, this was a nice piece of bloody mayhem, and I also can understand why Ellis would identify with it.

Damn, this was a hard one to pick! I love so many of those movies, but I'm going for The Untouchables.

Phantom Of The Paradise would come an awful close second.
