suspiria 3 disc limited edition (R1)

I live in the UK and have a sharp DV-740H dvd player. i have used the hack from area450 to make it multiregion. When i play my suspiria disk it works fine up until chapter 18, from this point onwards it pauses every 2 - 5 seconds. i think chapter 18 is the layer change posistion, but i'm not sure, if so could that be the problem. I have already had one set but sent that back for an replacement but this one is the same aswell. However i have the anchor bay version of zombie (R1) and that works fine. anyone have any information on this.

ive never heard of a prob with Suspiria, but some of my AB discs (mostly new ones, but some old) fuck up on the layer change also, they like freeze for a sec or scroll for a sec then go back to normal. while some AB discs work fine for me.

could be the same problem..

My copy works fine too. Some players have more of a problem getting over a layer change than others do. If thats not your problem, then I'd suggest exchanging your disc.

I have a region 2 Sony Dvd player, it's not multiregion yet, but Suspiria, i have the anchor bay 3 disc edition, plays fine. That means that Suspira is region 0, and not region 1. In fact, from what i've noticed most of the AB discs are region 0.

I cannot stand the fucked up soundtrack of the DVD. The mix has the music WAYYYYYY to low!

You know, we lynch people for criticizing popular DVDs (and, by extension, popular DVD companies) around here.
I've seen it happen; you've been warned.

It sounds like the layer change is the problem. Zombie is single layer, so that explains it playing fine.
Some players just can't handle some discs, and if you've exchanged it already it probably is your player.
