Question Event Horizon Director's Cut DVD?

Does anybody know if the rumoured Director's Cut DVD of Event Horizon will ever see the light of day? I really want to add this film to my DVD collection but would rather wait for the director's cut (which supposedly contains A LOT more footage Anderson was forced to cut).

Any info would be great!

I read an interview where he said that it was put on hold due to him having his hands full with Resident Evil. But he also said he'd revisit it sometime in the future. Oh man, prioritizing RE over Event Horizon, what a bummer.

Shit, that's a no brainer. Event Horizon is a far far better flick the RE. RE had Milla though..... so I guess it wins.

Man I remember being freaked out the few times I saw this movie. I'd love to see a DC (or just a disc with some extras on it).

EH is one of the best marriages of sci-fi & horror ever, IMO. I think the gore that's in the cut we have is pretty damn effective as it is, so I'd LOVE to see an even gorier cut!

Damn, when I saw this in the theater I thought it was cool but then I got it on DVD when it came out and watched it a couple times and I was bored with it... More gore would definately be a plus! Shit, that would help any movie.

I would like to see a DC of this as well.

Unfortunately, it's from Paramount, and Paramount doesn't seem to be very interested in putting out extended/director's cuts or special editions of their movies.

Hopefully, this will be an exception.

This movie is scary enough without the extras.

I'd also love to see a DC of this. I remember when I saw this in theaters. It was one of the few movies that actually gave me the chills when I saw it. I found it to be gory enough for me, but extra gore would make this one of my favorite horror/sci-fi flicks ever. Too bad its up to Paramount to get this out for us....

This is one of the few movies in recent years that gave me chills watching it at home in the dark. Hope there's a special edition coming out, as I still have the vhs, and will hold off until one comes.

Paramount sucks big time. I hate them for overchargning their DVDs. New Line did such a great job with the two Jason DVD's, they showed how it should be done. Screw them!
