Twilight Zone in ORDER...

if this has already been reported here, im sorry, but i just read at TVshowsonDVD.com that the company "Another Universe" is releasing Twilight Zone in a complete set, in chronological order in a special "gold set", region 1, 49 discs which include 5 discs of supplemental material for $399.99 limited to 2500 sets. heres the link to their site http://www.anotheruniverse.com/tzdvd/

personally, im going to bypass the gold set and just get the new box sets that are coming out, mainly because i dont have $400 to buy them at one time, being out of order doesnt really matter THAT much to me, but the discs of supplemental material does wet my appetite very much.

for the record, This is the same as the original Image Entertainment DVD’s only collected in chronological order and slipcased. does anyone know if this supplemental material is already on the pre-existing DVDs as well? maybe they just took them out of the episode DVDs and collected them all on seperate discs?

Before anyone gets suckered into this deal, head over to the MSCL.com Forum and check out Another Universe's "My So-Called Life" Box Set fiasco. What a nightmare.

You can find a great 3-part article at MoviePoopShoot.com detailing all the AU MSCL problems.

My friend is a big fan of the series and has most of the episodes on tape. When he heard last week that this was coming out on DVD he had talked about ordering the Collector's Edition. Thank God that he has not done it yet.
This really is a nightmare. I feel bad for the people who preordered from this company, and needless to say I will not even give a second thought to passing on this company's version of the Twilight Zone, even though it would be a very cool set to add to my collection, especially with all of the extras!

Damn, that TZ gold box sounds pretty fuckin cool. Too bad I already own about 17 or so of the discs out now. I would have loved to see this show released by season, which is how ALL TV on DVD should be done, but just having these discs full of classic episodes is enough for me.

i see that there isnt much interest in this set here, at least with those that responded, but just in case you were considering it, i just read on another forum, and its been confirmed that this chronological set is on DVD-R. another reason not to purchase this set, just wanted to let everyone know.
