Prom Night is out on DVD just so you know. Anchor Bay released it but I don't know if it is still in print or not.

Yeah, I know, but it is out of print, as far as I know, and the video quality is probably on par with my video tape.

1. Nightbreed
I really enjoy this one and I'd LOVE a commentary from Connenberg and Barker. And also an isolated music track for the Eflman soundtrack kicks serious ass!

2. Four Flies On Gray Velvet
This is my favorite film of Argento's animal trilogy. Attention: Stay away from the french version. All the scenes that explain the killer's motives are cut, making the film (and Argento) look stupid! Apparently Paramount owns the rights.

3. The Black Room
Cult classic sick twisted gory masterpiece.

4. The Terrible Secret Of Dr. Hitchcock
Ricardo Freda's best film with Bava-like compositions and a higly necrophiliac story. On par with the best Bava.

5. Burial Ground
But A.B. has just bought the rights to that...

6. The Keep
with an isolated track with Tangerine Dream's ambient score. What a strange but beautiful film!

7. The Hills Have Eyes
The third generation greek copy I have looks like shit and it is cut by the distributor for reasons I cannot understand since there is no such thing as cencorship in Greece!

8. When A Stranger Calls.
It reminds me of a light version of Clean, Shaven (I know that W.A.S.C. is a much older film but think about it). Good drama in my opinion and a SHOCKING opening scene.

9. Flesh For Frankenstein
I've seen the 3D version in cinema and it has to be seen in this way, there are no words for what I saw. And with anamorphic picture!

10. The Tenant
The horror.... the horror........

Oh, the uncut version of SCREAM is out in Japan. I think it's region free and it has a great transfer.
And isn't the french release of LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT uncut? I don't mind french subtitles since english is not my native language and I see almost EVERYTHING with subtitles!

I'd also love to see Rollin's films with anamorphic picture. I love them (especially Les Raisins De La Mort and La Morte Vivante) but I don't buy the dvd's for that sole reason. Same goes for the pre-deep Red Argento releases from A.B.

Any comments?
