Tartan's Trauma

I noticed a R2 PAL release over at lfvw.com and was wondering if anyone has seen it yet. I've not been too thrilled with the previous tartan disc I've seen but I'm really wanting to see this film and I've heard nothing about a R1 version coming out anytime. Any thoughts?

This disc is actually quite good IMHO. Some have complained it's a little dark (which I have heard about Tartan discs before) but I think this one isn't too bad. It is certainly the best release this film has ever seen (being widescreen and all.)

Sadly, nothing can save this rather dull film. And some (not all!) of Asia's alleged "acting" is a bit off putting (the scene on the bridge is so bad, I wanted her to jump).

I don't know - this one sinks on the back of boring set piece murders. The weapon is just the same thing over and over. Asia sucks. (if only!)

Tartan is very up and down... their disc of Fat Girl, f'rinstance, looked fantastic (unfortunately, it was drastically cut).

Thanks a lot for the info guys. I had assumed it was one of Argentos lesser films but I've really enjoyed all of the films of his I've seen thus far and I had been having the burning desire to see this one too. I may just go with picking it up after all if you guys say that the picture is decent and the film is uncut. Thanks again.

Fat Girl is cut! Thanks for the heads up. That is one good and twisted movie. I have the Canadian version of Romance, which is quite good. The difference from that and the US version is that the Canadian version is widescreen.

Yeah, get the Hong Kong disc of Fat Girl; it's uncut. It's also widescreen, even though Poker and some other places list it as full screen. And the part the Tartan disc cuts is the big finale scene - loses the POINT of the whole picture!!
I have the the US disc of Romance X, and it's widescreen. I think they re-released it when Fat Girl came out, so maybe the old disc was full-screen? I'm not sure. Anyway, Romance is definitely good; but Fat Girl is the best.

the U.S. director's cut is WS, which seems to be the only U.S. version I have seen.

Trauma is suffering from excessive edge enhancement IMHO.
