X-Files Season 6 problem?

Ok, I got X-Files season 6 DVD as an early Xmas present. I was all happy when I opened it, until I found that the fifth disc was missing and I had TWO disc fours instead. I checked to make sure and it's not mislabelled, it's actually two of the same fourth disc.

This means I'm missing a disc full of good episodes, including a Lone Gunmen one. Grr!

Does anyone else own this season yet? Has this happened to anyone else? Am I just freakin' crazy??

I figured I'd ask because those who remember the Anchor Bay "Opera" fiasco would remember that a replacement disc was mailed with an extra (shitty, but free) movie. Perhaps FOX is aware of some screwy sets and might gimme a free DVD for my trouble? I really doubt that, but I thought I'd ask before I bring my set to Walmart to try to get it exchanged.

While not the "X-Files", I purchased the "Project Greenlight" boxset and had two of the disc 2 DVD's and was missing disc 1 (which happend to be the disc with "Stolen Summer" on it). I took it back to Borders and had it replaced - the girl at the counter said this happends all the time.

As for you Luna, just get it replaced at the store (don't wait for the receipt to go beyond 30 days, your just asking for trouble after that). You could write to FOX and explain all the trouble you had getting it exchanged (make up some sappy bullshit story - the store gave you a hard time, ect...) and they might offer something for your trouble - but I wouldn't hold my breath...

Anchor Bay offered a 2nd disc since it was a problem occuring with almost every disc - your case appears to be a matter of ineffective quality control at FOX.

I did get the Iron Maiden box set Eddie's Archive just before black friday and found out that the shot glass that was supposed to be included was missing. So I had to return it to Circuit City and exchange it fast because it was the day of black friday and the box set itself was limited and copies were flying off the shelves!

Yeah, actually, I went to a Best Buy tonight that's no more than a 5 minute drive from me and got it exchanged with no problems at all, and no receipt. Hey, it's to be expected, with the Xmas season upon us and all. Besides, I couldn't very well tell them it was shipped to me from over 1500 miles away, probably bought at Coconuts and dammit, I have no receipt.

Ehh... I figured it was probably just a fluke, but I figured I'd check in, JUST in case. I had serious doubts as to whether FOX would even care about my dumb problem anyway. Anchor Bay is cool... however, I really suspect FOX wouldn't care enough to give any freebies.

Oh wow... I didn't even bother to go shopping that day 'cause I HATE crowds and my sanity is worth the bit of extra cash I'd spend on any normal day. I go into KILL mode when I'm packed in a store like a freakin' sardine.
