2002 a year to behold!
I dont know about you guys, but 2002 to me was the best year for movies in my whole life. My top 3 movies list has changed completely and all in one year!! This is remarkable because its been the same for a long long time and then all of a sudden 2002 comes along and changes it all...
My New List 1) Mulholland Drive : Gotta be the most mesmorizing and thought provoking film ive ever seen with the darkest edge! Naomi Watts was beyond brilliant. The replay value on this is immense. 2) Donnie Darko : Another thought provoking film that captured my attention and didnt let go, considering the first time director and the low budget this film easily surpased most hollywood high financed offerings! 3) The Two Towers : Only got back from seeing this last night but WOW what a movie, everything in it is simply awesome...if this doesnt win best picture its a travesty. All in all a great GREAT year, lets see if 2003 can change my list again? what do you guys think of 2002?

MULHOLLAND DR. (which is one of my top three favorite films of all time as well) and DONNIE DARKO were released in America in 2001, so even if your country got them later, they are 2001 films.

My personal pic for 2002 would have to be LOTR: Two Towers. That film was just such an epic. Everything that the first one was and then some. I'm already dying slowly to see Return of the King.
