i chose 'other'

the black chick from Demons 1 wins it for me, just for the part with her teeth being pushed out by her fangs

I voted for the thing. The Howling and American Werewolf tie for close seconds though. I feel special that my vote helped the thing that much.

American Werewolf is classic, but THE THING will always contain the best transformations in my mind. Truly ground breaking work by Bottin.

For me it has got to be Eddie Quist in The Howling! In my opinion, the greatest Werewolf movie ever!

The effects in John Carpenter's The Thing are also awesome. But I had to vote for Eddie.

The Beast Within, 'cause it's just so excessive. They KNEW this was the "money shot", and the camera lingered on it WAY too long.

I'm going with An American Werewolf in London. That transformation looked extremely painful.

I voted for THE FLY transformation slightly over THE HOWLING and AWIL, just because I found it to be the most effectively hideous.

The final scene, where Goldblum literally turns into The Fly, is just really fucking gross and shocking. It may not be the longest transformation scene, but man is it hideous!!

Stephen Geoffrey's "reverse" transformation in FRIGHT NIGHT

Yeah, it isn't great, but it pleases me. I love that movie. I don't like to think of how he turned out.

The worst would be Jack Nickolson in "Wolf." They didn't even try.
