I seriously doubt there will be any new box set, and even if there is eventually I highly doubt any new (or worthwhile) extras will be added. I could honestly care less about waiting simply for a "box" - I'd want them now to enjoy. I've purchased other movies seperately even when there is a box set available.

That's kind of disappointing. I may eventually get the JL disc sometime just to make a "fan edit" with the deleted footage put back into the movie.

I honestly don't know where I stand on this new transfer. Flesh tones look more accurate in the original transfer, but here look a little less real. However, the screenshot of the bloody cabin looks WAY better here (the blood looks darker, makes it look a little more real), and the decision to make the movie look a little more green I personally think works in its favor. I mean...forests ARE green, no? I think it looks a little more natural. The shot of Jason underwater as well I think looks WAY better in this version. That scene always bugged me on the original disc, because it just looked way too fake. I mean murky lake water is a light blue? The green tint looks way better here.

However, that said, I can DEFINITELY wait for the blu-ray of this one. The fleshtones will probably look a little more accurate (they always seem to in HD).

Well, you still gave the disc good ratings, but it just isn't up to the caliber of the previous two discs. Consider me still excited for the blu-ray version when it eventually gets released.

JUst finished watching the part 3 bl in 3d--WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!!! I put my comments in the thread on the review...but wow--so much better....

Yeah my blu-ray of part 2 arrived today. Wow this looks amazing. The blu of part 3 should be arriving any day now. What a difference though, Jesus.
