that's what I said bunny bread
I know I was being sarcastic and twisting your balls.
Dorm and Alien 2 Blu's ordered thru Borders with the coupon. Separate orders both to be sent to a NH store. One order was under a "guest" logon and the other I created an actual account for. It seemed to accept the coupon for both. $15.59 for Alien 2 and $14.39 for Dorm - Thanks!
OMG what a douche! Dude borders is closing! LOL!!!!!
Is there any difference between this general release and the very first more expensive release? Does it still have the red case?
I believe the red case idea was ditched even before the first release. I guess fans e-mailed and complained because it wouldn't match their other blu-rays, or it would get confused with HD-DVD cases. It's a shame, I really liked the red case.
Just pre-ordered the DVD.
Ah that sucks as the red case definitely would have been cool. So this release is identical to the earlier more expensive release then?
I've seen blu rays with white cases & green cases. Don't see what the problem was with the red cases.

Sounds about right as far as plot goes. I am pretty surprised they had such good negatives to work with for such a random flick. The screen caps look really nice.
Tis the season for delays.
This title's 03/22/11 release date. Has been bumped back to 04/05/11.
Now we have to wait longer to find out what Midnight Legacy has lined up after this release.
Not sure about what they have planned, but their youtube channel has some trailers for films listed as 'on DVD uncut' from them in description. So we may see Girl from Room 2A, Spider Labyrinth, The Last Shark, Ogroff, Blood and Lace, Without Warning, Blood on Satan's Claw, and more from them. But maybe not. I don't know, but those are my guesses.
Wait, they didn't have those remaining 29,975 copies ready to ship out?
^ I hope The Last Shark is one of them! I've always wanted to see that, a blu-ray would be a day-one purchase for me!
Here's another review for Alien 2:
Blood and Lace would be great. There's actually some nice prints of that floating around in Europe somewhere.
I suppose some of those could be possibilities, but they were posted when Midnight Legacy was Midnight Video (and had less than legit releases for sale).
WITHOUT WARNING and BLOOD ON SATAN'S CLAW are nearly, completely definite "no's", as they belong to MGM.
Just to be clear, MGM is back in the business of licensing out their titles to third parties, at least in some cases. The recent Criterion discs of NIGHT OF THE HUNTER, SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS and PATHS OF GLORY were licensed from them. But I do agree that those MGM-owned titles are unlikely to be the next Midnight Legacy releases. The European films that they provided trailers for seem more likely.
Yeah, MGM is licensing some things out. Criterion is a proven, successful, capable company, whereas Midnight isn't. That's not to knock their first release -- which I admit has stunning image quality (if only the movie were as good as the disc itself). Perhaps down the road and with enough money, ML will be able to work with big companies. But I'm not holding my breath. MGM -- like many biggun's -- often refuse to release smaller titles but also refuse to let someone else license those smaller titles because they don't want to lost money (lose-lose situation, if you ask me). QUATERMASS XPERIMENT being one big example, especially after they took the time to restore it (duh, MGM). I do hope they come around and work with a company like Synapse to release that one (it deserves it).
I don't believe there is even that many copies of this in existence. I do though believe this will eventually end up in the delete bins.
