Got an email from Borders today that this has shipped to my local store for pickup.
Got my DVD copy today!
I recieved the Blu-ray yesterday from Amazon.
Nice "O-Ring" Slip Cover that comes with it. The transfer is quite striking in HD.
It's odd that the actual disc content is only 23.8gb in size, and all of that is pressed only on the first layer of the disc. But the disc is technically a dual-layer, they just didn't utilize the 2nd layer for anything. I don't really understand why they even manufactured them on dual-layers, since they're obviously more expensive. Warner have done this quite a lot also...
I'm still waiting to hear from dvdpacific on my order which I put in a while back now. I didn't even get a confirmation email from them . Is that normal?
I've ordered from them twice since they changed owners/locations or whatever. I don't remember receiving any email confirmations from them either, and you can't check your orders on their website. The 2nd and last order was probably my final one with them. One of the DVD's that I ordered looked absolutely terrible. The front and back cover were all bashed/dented in, and it didn't happen during shipping. It looked like it had been sitting on a shelf for years between two blocks or something. I can't believe they even shipped it out in the condition it was in. I'll gladly pay a few bucks elsewhere from now on.
i received an update by mail, shipping date is 5 april
Well that's not what I like to hear. I'm rather anal retentive when it comes to my dvds. Things like that annoy me a lot. If that's the case they'l definitely get an unhappy email from me.
Ok cool. Guess I still got a while to wait then.
So did you manage to pick it up?
No, it's in NH so I won't be grabbing it for a week or two. Probably grab it the same time Dorm that Dripped Blood shows up.
Will that Borders even still be in business by then? :eek1:
Apparently. They are not on the list to shut down anytime soon.
So now that Alien 2 is officially released, the next title is...?
Oh man, I just read this great review!
It just might contain some spoilers
Just watched this film for the first time over the weekend. I loved it. I didn't think it was as bad as some made it out to be. And yes, the presentation is remarkable.
I can only quote what they posted on Facebook last year:
^ It's amazing the lessons you learn when you buy an obscure movie and print up 30,000 copies of it. When a company like Sony is considering themselves lucky to sell 3,000 copies of Fright Night that's gotta tell you something.
Rough estimate but I'd think that we would have gotten 5 or more films out of Midnight Legacy if they hadn't spent so much money upfront on this one title. Live and learn.
I keep checking their main site in hopes for some news but it seems pretty much dead over there. I was hoping to hear news of another horror rarity.
Wow, that's all Sony sold? I thought that it would have sold more than that, or is that just in America?
Still, that does tell you something. Maybe Midnight Legacy have gone bankrupt.
^ That is all they pressed. Limited run.
 Okay, what?? 30,000 sold... or the fact that the company rose from the dead and posted an update on their old Facebook page?
