Wow those are some great announcements. Definitely in for City of the Living Dead, Candyman, Torso and Twelve Monkeys. ~Matt
Candyman, City of the Living Dead, Deadbeat at Dawn, and Torso for me. A pretty exciting October slate - now if only they could give us a few tidbits on volumes 2 and 3 of The American Horror Project...
4K restoration of City of the Living Dead!!! YEEEEEEEEEEEES!! I have been waiting forever for that one
For sure, where is American Horror Project and Elvira? Those are perfect October announcements. I'll upgrade Torso and ditch my Blue Underground. I'll probably go Scream for Candyman, even though I'm sure Arrow will be better. That City Of The Living Dead set does look gorgeous.
Seems like the Elvira Blu is destined to always be delayed as long as that "one guy" is attached to the Arrow deal in some form or fashion. I know they finally released a Blu version of it from Nameless Media. But it will set you back about $50 for those mediabooks.
Yeah great announcements. Most are really stacked releases, looking forward to finally seeing schlock.
Edge Of The Axe was apparently confirmed by Arrow at an event last night. No specifics or mention of the other Larraz titles, just that they'll be releasing it.

Picked up Arrow's release of Last House On The Left today. I have the original MGM blu-ray release which I still will never part with as I got David Hess' autograph on it just months before he passed.
They did say Edge will be 2019, so it won't be in their Nov / Dec announcements. They also haven't said whether it will be UK only or UK/US. I have a screener VHS that includes the trailer on it. It was brand new when I got it, so it's in mint condition. I'm hoping it's part of a boxset that also includes Larraz's other American slasher, Savage Lust. That would be another VHS I can get rid of.

Arrow will be releasing the José Ramón Larraz film Whirlpool in 2019. https://www.dreadcentral.com/news/2...ng-releasing-obscure-erotic-horror-whirlpool/ While journalists and critics are reporting on films screening at FrightFest, currently in full swing in London, our Editor-in-Chief Jonathan Barkan caught some chatter horror fans can get excited about: he’s confirmed that Arrow Video is restoring and releasing the obscure erotic horror movie Whirlpool sometime in 2019! If you’ve never heard of Whirlpool, written and directed by José Ramón Larraz and released in 1970, you’re not alone. This will be the first time it’s been released in any physical media. You won’t find an entry about it on Wikipedia and the closest thing to a trailer we found on YouTube has been viewed less than 500 times (and reveals almost nothing about the plot). The brief summary on IMDB, however, is likely to pique your interest: Synopsis: [A] Sex-thriller about a pornographic photographer, his aunt and an innocent English girl who becomes their victim. Roger Ebert’s 1 Star review from December 8, 1970 reads, in part: “Whirlpool is a genuinely sickening film. It has to do with various varieties of sex, yes, but its main appeal seems to be its violence. The ads tell us ‘she died with her boots on — and not much else,’ and that’s a sign of the times. Two years ago, this film would have been promoted for its sex and nudity. Today, the distributor emphasizes the violence.” We’ll keep you posted on Arrow’s release of Whirlpool as details emerge. Stay tuned!
Whirlpool pretty much confirms the rumored José Ramón Larraz boxset. Both that and Edge Of The Axe are confirmed for 2019. Other rumored titles in the set include: Savage Lust (aka Deadly Manor) (1990), Black Candles (1982), Stigma (1980), and Vampyres (1974).
I wouldn't be surprised to see a fully uncut The House That Vanished (1974) as part of this box Re: the Dark Force release: http://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.php?p=14854907&postcount=354 If they Arrow does get Estigma, then I hope they can also get Emma Puertas Oscuras (1974) so I can get rid of the Dorado release, altogether.
