Been waiting for a new restoration of Django. The old Blue-Underground blu-ray, was yet another victim of those old LVR scanner noise transfers.

Pass on all. Nothing wrong with these films just don’t need physical copies. These companies are making it easy for me to pass on all their year end releases.

Am I the only one who isn’t in love with Django?

Nothing of interest for me. I remember liking Django okay, but it’s not something I really need in my collection.

Maybe the DeNiro & DePalma set for me. The only one I've seen is Hi, Mom! and it's pretty wild.

Pass on the rest. I never even opened my Universal blu-ray of Crimson Peak (I still haven't even seen the movie!).

I think I’ll pass on Crimson Peak (never been a big fan of Del Toro) but I’m definitely in for Django and the DePalma set looks amazing.

I am in for the Django double feature. No interest in the rest.

Candyman has just been certified by the BBFC and looking at the running time it appears to be the uncut version, as previous video releases (pal) were showing a running time of around 95, the original theatrical release had a running time of 99 mins 3 sec, and the arrow release has a running time of 99 mins 11 sec, while no concrete confirmation is provided these times are encouraging.

That is excellent news! I don't know what version is on the Australian disc. I'm not sure I've ever seen this uncut.

    It’s always been uncut.
The shorter running time is because of the PAL speed up, which makes all movies in that format, about 3-4 minutes shorter.

All blu ray releases so far have also featured the shorter version.

Thanks for the info on that.
Didn’t realize it was the R-rated version. Wish I still had that VHS tape.

The previous Universal UK Blu-Ray with the MPAA R-rated version of the film had a runtime of 1:39:19.578, so I'm not sure this latest BBFC rating really proves anything other a rating based on ~ 24 fps rather than 25 fps.
