Speaking of the Demons limited editions: They found an issue with the audio and automatically sent out replacement discs. I received mine some weeks back. Yesterday I received a second set. I never emailed them about the issues as it was an automatic program. Now I have the original boxes plus two copies of the fixed discs.

I bought mine from Zavvi, but only contacted Arrow one time about getting a replacement disc.

They shipped me 2 separate packages also, each containing a corrected UHD disc. I received the 1st package one day, and then the 2nd package showed up the following day. According to the paper invoices inside both packages, they were only posted within about 4 days of one another.

It seems a lot of people received the wrong format disc (UHD or Blu-ray) with their first replacement, so that's why many are getting duplicate shipments. This replacement program surely hasn't been cheap for Arrow.

So what's the deal with that particular scene? I've never seen Savage Three before... "mice fight in a cage" though? Is it really animal cruelty on screen?

It's the UK censorship for you. They hsve got a lot better over the years and don't batter an eye lid for most things but anything to do with animals and sexual violence, then it's a no no.

    Excited for Weird Wisconsin!

DeepDiscount had it for $57.99 the other day and their 15% code stacked with it, bringing it under $50!

I think is commendable of them to inform UK punters of cuts. Very transparent. I never understand how horse falling can be in the category of animal cruelty. I'm not sure how said falling is achieved but if feels a bit extreme to class it as cruelty? Am I completely of point with this?

    "enhancing our current QC process"

    a few lines later...

    "will be will be"

Not the first time I've spotted words being mysteriously repeated in one of those release update graphics.

The UK gets ridiculous with this stuff sometimes. Maybe if a horse was forced to fall it is cruelty, but what is censoring that from an old film trying to achieve? Just makes sure people aren't doing that shit in present times.

They would put up trip wires or some times just tie a cord to its leg, called "The Running W," and when the cord ran out the galloping horse would be yanked down. Horses were frequently crippled (and needed to be shot) or just outright killed. This practice was banned in the UK and any film depicting such measures would have to be edited by law.

Animal killings use to not really bother me but as the years have gone by they've begun bothering me more and more. While I still watch the films uncut I can understand perfectly why people would prefer versions without animals being harmed.

Yeah I totally agree with the animal killing stuff, never been a fan and never felt it was justified, thanks for the info on the horse falling, definitely now understand why they have a problem with it but I don't understand the cutting of historic practices. Just make sure it's not done now.

They will allow it if it's computer generated so I don't understand what the difference is if the falling is historical?

Dune was a weird one. I don't know if I ever managed to sit through all of it.

Definitely a title I'm very glad to see getting the premium treatment for those that are interested, for which I have near zero interest myself.
