What is your favorite of the year so far? I have include a few films that were shown at a few festivals in 2009 but weren't available widely until this year.

Out of all those films I have only seen The Wolfman. I guess it would be pointless for me to vote.

I thought The Crazies was great. I also enjoyed Piranha 3D, The Wolfman, and REC 2.

I went with Dead Snow, and that should tell you something. This has been one of the weakest years for horror that I can remember. I can only hope that this trend doesn't continue. Bring on Saw 7.

I think Daybreakers is the best so far. In a decade of remakes, reboots, and sequels it manages to breath some new life into a very dated vampire genre; and while the CGI leaves a lot to be desired, the script is solid and the cast is phenomenal.

So far I've only seen Dead Snow, so I won't vote, but most of these are on my list of films to see ASAP.

Only seen a handful, but I did enjoy Piranha 3D, Burning Bright, and Dead Snow. But I'm disqualifying Dead Snow, because it did get a theatrical run (not just film festivals) in the fall of 2009.

I think Legion and Survival of the Dead should've been on the list. Legion wasn't the greatest film ever but much better than the wretched Cabin Fever 2 in my opinion.

I never understood the hate for Cabin Fever 2. I thought it was lots of fun. I enjoyed it more better then the original.

I've never seen Legion but from what I've read it doesn't have many positive reviews. I guess I could of included Survival of the Dead but I didn't think it would receive many votes.

Maybe I'll have to watch it again. I liked it but nowhere near as much as the original.

I wasn't a big fan of the original so I guess it didn't take much to improve on that for me personally.
