Movie released by Lions Gate, called Blood Creek.

    Anyone here seen it?

I just rented this jem and I really loved the 70's feel of this film.

    Anyone else, thoughts?

It was a pretty decent rental, but I was expecting better to be honest. I think it's one that I may enjoy more on repeat viewings though...

I watched Blood Creek tonight. This one snuck up on me, and I was pleasantly surprised: some good gore and a simple but effective story. I agree with Katatonia above about replay value and adjustment of expectations. I'll buy it to show to others and re-evaluate.

The beginning really had me hooked, but it kinda fizzled out towards the end. Despite some bad CGI and a few plot holes, Blood Creek was much better than I expected. For a blind rental, not bad. 3 out of 5 stars.

This seemed to have better production values than I expected. However, the CGI at points was a bit weak. The story is cool though and it keeps you entertained. The gore is decent as well. I felt like it was a little 'ADD' at times though - some scenes made me feel like I missed something, but I really didn't. It's kinda like Wishmaster meets Dracula.

I saw this for the first time recently. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

I thought it was uneven, liked the set up though. What puzzles me most is that a film by a name director could get relegated to a bare minimum theatrical release and then essentially dumped on DVD.I've certainly seen far worse films get a wide release.Guess the studio had no faith in it.
