I'll go with $15. Advertising dosent seem very intense, also they're releasing a horror movie called Halloween in August..
I'm going next Saturday, so is my girlfriend, brother & pal. That's $20 right there. Woo.
Because, sadly, the SAW franchise has owned that month for the last three years. Funny though, because it seems that James Wan will be yet another victim of his own success, the move of HALLOWEEN to August coinciding with his DEATH WISH remake. DEAD SILENCE got dumped, and it looks like that is happening here, too.
HALLOWEEN I think will surprise, they've marketed it will in trailers, getting goodwill from both the original and Zombie's following without pissing either camp off. It's been awhile since a big breakout horror flick, and I can see this pulling in some major bank. I'll go with $26 million.
Since you got to mine first, I'll go $10.5 million + $1
(crowd getting angry, outdated cell phones thrown in my general direction, OWWWWW!, bastards!)
Removed by Mod - Preview screener? Tawny using those contacts at Dimension, huh? Bullshit. You're basing a review off a copy that was just leaked onto the Internet. I too was tempted to download it, but I'm going to wait for the big screen and the final version of the movie.
Guys - No discussing the bootleg. One and only warning.
Where I live, I've been seeing TV spots like crazy for this film. Perhaps they're just not marketing it as well in your area.
A local drive-in is showing this film with Grindhouse, so I know where I'll be this weekend.
The fact that Sheri Moon Zombie can't act is NOT a spoiler...
I'll give it the benefit of the doubt: $45 million. When people see it listed up on the marquee I'll bet a lot of folks will see it out of pure curiosity.

$172 million opening weekend, $473 million final gross.
$22.5 million for the opening weekend.
RT has at 21% Not good indeed.
I gotta go....
