At least Seed had John Waters in it!
I hated Seed. Bride wasn't terribly great, but I liked the first three.
Do bucket motors really have spiked rollers inside? o_0
hahahaha, take a child's play movie seriously??? good 1.
Seed is by far the worst of the series. I really dislike it.
Was torn between bride and Seed but Seed got my vote. I like the film don't get me wrong when you put all the films together though seeds definatly has the weekest story, Chuckys taken way to far from his original roots in this one.
The first 3 are easily the best IMO, as they follow a continuity and the feel of the films is still quite dark.
Bride and Seed.
The "left the town of Serious, now bound for Slapstick" train departed long before Seed. While the first one could be argued to be serious - as serious as a movie about a killer Cabbage Patch Kid can be - things took a turn towards frustrated Wile E. Coyote level antics in the second movie. The ending of that movie was practically a gag reel of "lets fuck with Chucky" - amputations, body modifications, meltings, etc. The third movie just took it up a notch, with the amusement park demise equally convoluted. Yes, the ending of the first film put Chucky through the ringer, but each film seemed more intent to up the ante to the point where it ceased being gruesome and simply became cartoonish.
After three films essentially about a red headed doll repeatedly stymied at every turn only to be beaten like a red headed step child in the end, its little wonder the series fully turned down the camp road for the fourth installment. It really didn't have much choice IMO, the damn series had become a punchline, and did Jason and Freddy *really* need pint sized company in their pantheon of endless rehashes of well trodden turf? And in that respect the fourth film did a decent job of it, it accepted the joke and decided to go camp, and it did it in style. The fifth film really can't be blamed for following that tradition, it strove for the same over the top style and IMO was nearly on par with the fourth in hitting that mark.
The only thing I liked about part 3 was Andrew Robinson's brief part, other than that, it was pretty dull.
part three no thought required. I actually liked bride and seed a lot
Bride of Chucky was amazing!
I haven't seen Seed of Chucky all the way through. So it's down to either Child's Play 2 and Child's Play 3. Both absolutely horrible movies. Great special effects. Good production values. Bad stories. Bad acting. Chucky doing a Freddy Krueger impression, when people already complain constantly about Freddy's stand-up routine...
I voted for part 3. Just because "Andy" was really annoying in military school. But... darn it to hell, I actually really liked the girl playing his love interest. She could have done a lot better than him. Isn't that a bitch? I hate almost all the characters in part 2, but I like most of the characters in part 3. But, part 2 had that great scene in the doll factory at the end.
I've watched Child's Play 3 the most (I recorded it off SuperChannel as a kid), so I am a bit predisposed to liking it. Plus, I could never hate the line, "Chucky's gonna be a bro!"
There are some great lines in that movie. Good party flick I think.
Bride with 3 coming a close second. Why in in gods name do you put John Ritter in a horror movie as a bad@$$ I will never know...:eek1:
I hate Seed of Chucky! Even if there´s few good things, this movie sucks. Otherwise I would vote for Chucky 3, dumb stupid sequel but at least the ending didn´t denied the existence of sequels. Other Chucky entries are OK.
The movie is about a father who kills two men who rape his child. Chucky Cheese takes precautions to protect children, but this could have taken place.
 Now that's the way to make a first post!
