Dinosaur Island is DVD only? Really Freddy? And at a premium too?

I'd forgotten about this thread, otherwise I would have been more prone to post Retromedia's other recent release:

The Ape Man / Doomed to Die - Monstrous Double Feature

Reportedly The Ape Man looks rather good, especially compared to previous DVD releases, while Doomed to Die looks about the same as other PD DVD's. But that's the way these seem to go. He matches up a new good transfer with an old lackluster own.

I've noticed after about 6 months Retromedia's prices on Amazon drop two bucks so I let 'em sit in my cart until they drop.

Also Robot Ninja widescreen for the first time on Blu-ray.
Also also 88 Films' Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers release with Linnea Quigler’s Horror Workoout which is apparently OOP: https://makeflix.com/collections/blu-ray/products/hollywood-chainsaw-hookers-region-b-import

And for February you can throw in a free DVD "Disc & Artwork Only" from this list: https://makeflix.com/collections/nocasediscs
(including another Brinke Stevens disc Something to Scream About.)

Just be sure to select the Disc & Artwork Only option in the pull down. At least I hope so. It was still part of the total so hopefully you get a refund or something. I'll find out I guess after they process my order.

Kinda spaced on this. It's today at 4PM EST. I watched Haunting Fear last night for the first time and enjoyed it so I'll check this out.

I am thinking of picking up Haunting Fear - figured I should pick another blu up for free shipping. I have never seen Evil Toons or The Phantom Empire - which one would you guys recommend for good tongue in cheek B movie cheese?

I like both, but if I had to choose... Evil Toons. B movie cheese galore.

I still have my original animation cell from Evil Toons signed by Fred somewhere around here. :p

Fred Olen Ray announced this week via his Facebook page that Jack-O is coming to Blu-ray, and since this was originally edited on video they’ve gone and scanned the original camera negatives and conformed it to the video to make a true HD master:

From Fred’s post: “JACK-O! Never say never. We finally decided to do what we always said we'd never do, and that is to transfer the original 16mm Camera Negatives to 2K HD and conform the new material to the original film. And the results are spectacular!”
