I'm stoked that Scout will be in it. So hot!

Well, considering where Rob Zombie took the franchise, I guess bringing it into the gimmicky third dimension isn't much of a stretch. Still, I wonder if a franchise like this can sustain a 3D movie like that. Freddy and Jason were kitsch when they did it, but Halloween has always took more of a serious, story-driven approach.

With the MY BLOODY VALENTINE crew behind it, though, I think we're at least in good hands. Should be interesting...

I agree. It should be a fun and bloody movie. Halloween has been in the dirty trailer park of Rob's mind. It needs to be cleaned up a bit.

I can't believe they're actually releasing a Halloween film in October!

I don't find it so bad really. My biggest problem with it was that they called it "Halloween" and had characters named Laurie, Michael Myers & Dr. Loomis. Had they just called the film "Rob Zombie's Trailer Trash" featuring Twany, Jethro & Dr. LOVE, then I would've been all over it.

Who knows if Scout will be in this film at all. Hopefully they'll clean up Tyler Mane for this one.

Latest news is that it is now TBA. It was pulled off the schedule. Production for the film has been shut down.

Damn! I was actually quite looking forward to this! Guess the franchise has ground to a halt.

I dunno if you'd say production was "shut down" since it really wasn't in active development (outside of Dimension MAYBE taking pitches). I wish they'd just go ahead and roll with Farmer and Lussier's script.

The Weinsteins should just relinquish the rights to the Halloween franchise to a company that'll, y'know, use them. TWC/Dimension are flying by the skin of their teeth (solely on their Oscar bait) -- first not giving Piranha 3DD a release date and not moving forward on Halloween 3D.

... what company do you think deserves to get the Halloween franchise?
