Many thanks, Iron Jaiden. Must admit, I managed to track some down on the internet out of interest but a few posters were already going for megabucks! Your living room looks excellent!

    Love "The Thing" poster!

So today William Stout just put out an AMAZING 18x24 screenprint of Tar Man from ROTLD!
William Stout was the original production designer on the movie so this print kinda rules more than most.
Edition of 100, hand signed and numbered, $40.
    Available here

EDIT: Poster is now sold out, matching t-shirts are down to sizes nobody wears. Glad I got in on this one early :)

Haha yeah I think that's the general sentiment out there among fans. The Thing is one of the few prints I own that I'll never part with. I think out of the 210 copies in existence I've seen it up on eBay maybe three times in the last couple of years. Here's the kicker on that print, every person that was "the thing" at one point in the movie has glow in the dark red eyes! Outta hand.

I love The Thing Poster. That is a really cool poster and I saw The Thing when it was originally out in the theaters in 1982, saying how old I am. But the best part, Friday I was at Harrah's, and they asked for my ID. The best part is I just turned 41 in February, so this is a complement, and the Security Guard said that I didn't look my age, that I have a Baby Face.

Evil Dead prints by Olly Moss and Florian Bertmer!
Olly fucking KILLED it with this print (hence it being sold out already, I got one by like a hair) and the Bertmer is amazing too (and still available but not for long)
Olly also did a really rad t-shirt.

So I haven't posted to this thread in a while as there really hasn't been any "horror specific" art prints released recently.
The scene is alive as ever with the newest Star Wars and Star Trek series kick-offs at Mondo though.
However tomorrow sees the release of one GORGEOUS Bride of Frankenstein print by the ever impressive Martin Ansin.

There will be a regular and a metallic print variant available at Mondo at 11am CST.

(There's also a Ken Taylor Richard Pryor print going up that I absolutely HAVE to score)

So there you have it. Good luck to anyone going for either of these :)

Is it just me or is this bordering on becoming an extended advertisement thread?

Anyway, they kind of leave me cold. To me the poster is part of the films history, these are just disconnected colourful interpretations. If i wanted an artistic interpretation i'd buy some weird Polish or African/Asian type poster, which would still have some direct relevance to the film.

An advertisement thread? Not in the least. I have no affiliation what-so-ever with any of the artists mentioned or places who sell said art.
The art print scene is just something outside of the horror movie scene but sometimes the streams cross. A bunch of members here were interested to know when new prints were being released and I happen to be a collector myself.
I can dig it though, no worries, I won't be posting to this thread again, much :glasses:

Don't listen to Criswell, I appreciate the heads up I. Jaiden. This tread and your introduction to Mondo and OMG posters opened up a whole new world to me. Because of this, I got a kick ass "UHF" and "Street Trash" print from them. I for one hope you keep this thread alive.
