    Hollywood Reporter has done the most in depth write up I've seen: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/julie-adams-dead-creature-black-lagoon-actress-was-92-1047543

    Sad to hear she's passed, and as Creature From the Black Lagoon is a mainstay in my Octobers I usually see the film at least once a year if not more since Svengoolie regularly shows it. She gave the role heart and a kind of wonder that bounced between her and her co-star Richard Carlson magnificently. I even enjoy a lot of the straight dialog between the two because they sell it so well. That really helped the film to get that special something to pull the audience in and make it more than a monster movie. I don't doubt we'd be thinking of that film in a different way without her and her 50 year career of steady work all across the medium is a testament to her skill and talents.

    Here's a nice interview I found with her originally from Rue Morgue: http://www.depthsploitation.com/2013/09/an-interview-with-julie-adams.html

    Come, gentle night; come, loving, black-browed night;

    Take her and cut her out in little stars,
    And she will make the face of heaven so fine
    That all the world will be in love with night...

    Amazing that she made movies for nearly 70 years. RIP.

    Sad to hear. I have a Black Lagoon re release poster with her autograph. I got to see her in person at the Castro Theatre in SF some years ago. She did a Q&A along with the gillman himself for the audience. I'm so glad I went. R.I.P. she was a stunningly beautiful woman.

    She was awesome. I got her signature on a photo a while ago as Creature from the Black Lagoon is my favorite of the classic Universal Monsters. I hope some of the poster galleries come out with some good posters for her this year.

    Just realized this week that Julie Adams was in the '80s heavy metal horror Black Roses playing the Tipper Gore knock-off Mrs. Miller.
