I didn't want to rub your face in it when it seemed you didn't have a copy...but that is one fantastic release of a film. a real highpoint of my collection. you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for that huge wad of cash!

No but really, I will be on the hunt for another copy as I have heard only good things. But I figure by the time I get around to watching it (My to be watched pile is almost surpassing my watched) hopefully I'll have come across another copy or it will get re-released. I know, chances of this are very unlikely, but I'm a gambling man and I have been pretty lucky the last few years with finding some hard to find OOP DVDs.

Either way, enjoy! And let me know if it's any good?

Just to chime in from the sidelines Savage Streets rules. Just plain rules. Linda Blair as Foxy Brown! :)

In case you didn't know, the Sexy Box also includes Big Gus What's the Fuss and I think 2 more early films never before available as Easter eggs. I forgot the other two because I still need to watch the other discs.

Yeah it was the one DVD that I REALLY REALLY wished I had grabbed while it was still in print. The only OOP DVDs I own that I will probably NEVER get rid of are Silent Night, Deadly Night/Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 Double Feature, Halloween Limited Edition with 2 versions of the film(the one with the lenticular cover) and now Savage Streets. Oh, and a few OOP Criterions (Peeping Tom, Nights of Cabiria, Le Trou, Grand Illusion, The Fallen Idol, Straw Dogs, Contempt) and Pierrot le fou and The Third Man on Criterion blu-ray. Most just get re-released anyway, so I'm not too crazy over OOP DVDs. I just wanted to get Savage Streets because I know the whole company went out of business, so it's not like one title just went OOP.

But yeah Savage Streets is a sick movie. Saw it a few years back and like I said before, I have no clue why I passed up the chance to own it while it was still in print.

Yeah there are a few that have never come back in print that I really want. The Anchor Bay Hammer titles and Midnight Hour come to mind. And you're right, because the whole company shut down it will probably be a while before anyone decides to re-release Savage Streets, and I have a feeling even if they do they won't put as much work into the release that BCI did. Hopefully I'm wrong though...

And yeah that Halloween set I would never sell as that is one of my favourite flicks and it may never get re-released with all of those extras. At least out of its 100 releases so far, there has yet to be a ultimate end all set. I also have the Silent Night and Silent Night 2 set, although the trailer for the second movie glitches up so I'll have to look for another copy. I saw one not too long ago for $13 but didn't pick it up as I already had it. Regret that now...
