    In the mailbox today:
City of the Living Dead (Blu Ray)

    From a closing Hollywood Video:
    Wall-E (Blu Ray)
Seven Samurai (Criterion 3 disc set).

Both of these last 2 have case issues...Wall-E just needs to be put into a regular blu ray case instead of the DVD case it came in....Seven Samurai the mangled the art to put into two rental cases. But at the prices of $13 for Wall-E and $7 for Samurai I figured that I could live with it.

    Wow...
I must've purchased that same set at FYE (then Suncoast) at least six years ago for about $18.99. I know it was only a limited number that included House 2. I'm shocked that you were able to find one- and at a reasonable price. I assumed that the Limited Edition would command a heavy premium now that it has sold through. However, it does appear that they did release House 2 separately, so its not like its OOP or anything. Was it new or used?

Yeah, I bought it years ago at Best Buy for $14.99 and thought perhaps it was only the first movie. It had nothing on the case (or a sticker) indicating that it was the limited 2-disc version. I thought it felt "heavy" however, so that's why I grabbed it and chanced it. Sure enough, when I got home and opened it...it was two discs and both films.

Apparently, Anchor Bay added nothing to the outside of the package to let buyers know. Unless some actually did include an outside sticker on the plastic wrap...

I've just recently started buying TV shows on DVD, my attention span doesn't allow for commercial breaks anymore.

    my favorite wife

...my wife has all of a sudden developed a love of cary grant movies! this is awesome. and to think she used to flat out refuse to watch anything more than 20 years old. so now im on a hunt to find as many of his pictures as i can. i've got all the hitchcock ones, charade, affair to remember, and gunga din, but these two are new ones for both her and i. i gotta say, its awesome to finally have her appreciate some of these older films!
