Got the news from a buddy of mine that the Inwood Theater in Dallas will be showing a new 35mm print of Maniac at midnight, Nov. 19th and 20th.

I will certainly be there, Friday night.

It's being screened here in Toronto at the Underground Cinema tomorrow night (Fri, Nov, 12th) at 9:30. Apparently it's a 35mm print... I'm hoping it's in decent condition...

Everything I read about this says it's a 'new 35mm print', so I'm fairly hopeful it should be in good shape.

God Damn it. Why couldn't this be next weekend? I'd be on this like a rat on a Cheeto if it was any other weekend.

Oh snap! While looking up whats playing at the Esquire its appears that the following weekend

Nov 19 & 20: Lloyd Kaufman from Troma in person both nights! Class of Nuke 'Em High.

    I'm so there.

Nice. That's a classic in it's own right.

I'm new to the area so I missed out this year. From looking at the website it looks like a platform for drinking, fried food, and debauchery.

It's a friggin' blast. Convention center is where it's at during the day, but then there are also several very worthy bars around town where the brewery reps and bar owners set up after session parties. And don't forget to take in a few brewery tours around the area too while the whole GABF vibe is buzzin' - they're always better when lots of like minded folks are along for the ride.

I'm a Texan through and through, but Colorado beer culture is ridiculous, and I love it.

And you're welcome, make believe. So happy to be able to spread the word.

I went to the screening of Maniac at the Castro in S.F. last Friday. Even tho I've watched that movie quite a few times over the past few months, it was still very affective on the big screen. As grim and relentless as ever. The fairly pristine audio and visuals certainly helped in that regard.

Lustig was there to do a Q&A and whatnot. Got to meet him after the screening. He signed the dvd sleeve of my Maniac dvd and had a photo taken with me. He's a nice fellow.
