Thought he was great in Red Dawn and Donnie Darko. Very sad story. Rest in peace, Patrick.

Whether playng a dancer,a bouncer,a bank robber,a drag queen of a lovelorn ghost Patrick Swayze always had style and always seemed to have a good sense of humor. He seems to have been a gentleman as well and leaves behind a lot of friends. He somehow managed to be a major star AND a cult favorite and many of his pictures have loyal followings.I guess we all knew how this would end but the man put up one hell of a fight and he will be sorely missed.God Bless.

I was at work tonight when I got the text. R.I.P. Swayze. You were robbed of the best supporting actor Oscar in Youngblood. Shaving Rob Lowe's nuts with a can as a surgical mask? Fucking brilliant.

amazing! and swayze's hair is jaw-dropping in that one...he looks like a lion!

i think its harder to accept because he always seemed so young. hard to believe he was almost 40 when he made dirty dancing and ghost.

RIP. I rocked out to Shes Like the Wind this morning.

  15. Indeed. Was JUST thinking the exact same thing not too long ago. When People magazine issues the Year in Review large bulk mag this year in book stores on the magazine racks and in super markets, it'll be beyond super sad as all fuck for us who grew up in the '80s (even as very young tykes) and who love the hell out of that decade, because of all the post-humorous pieces that will have to be done about them. Truely the end of an era if there ever was one. :(

    Also RIP Mr. Swayze.

You nailed it. Terrible, terrible year.

Dirty Dancing is one of those "chick flicks" that I really can't get enought of. One of the most rewatchable films, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Also really dig Road House and Point Break.

    Truly sad. R.I.P.

I heard about this on Monday night. I honestly can't believe it, although I knew it would only be a matter of time. He had lost so much weight, he looked horrible. Poor guy, this really sucks. RIP.

Patrick Swayze was always one of my favorites from Youngblood to North and South to A&E's The Beast. He will be missed.
