That's fantastic news - but I don't see anything about the Japanese edit being included? Did I miss it?

I know Ghoul Basement did a piece on it, but it's reported that version on top of being horribly cut also has some outlandish dubbing/music/sound effects, etc. It wouldn't be much of a plus for me but including all three cuts of the film, is.

Sorry for the delayed response. Yeah, the link that I posted states the following...

"and (if I’m reading things correctly) the alternate Japanese TV version of the film."

I'm in agreement that the selling point is all 3 versions in 1080p. The Japanese edit is just icing on the top.

just finished watching Psycho II and have started on III. Part II looks amazing through and through but part III is far less consistent with more print damage and quality changing in certain scenes and being a little juddery here and there but on the whole still pretty good overall.

Whoa...I'm not liking the warmer colors on the Shout! release although it appears to have better detail than the Arrow release. The muted color palette made the film absolutely bleak and made the red in the blood really pop on screen.

I'll have to watch the Shout! disc myself to see if the new colors are jarring, but it looks like the FR BD is the best looking of the bunch.

Question....why isn't horror fandom in an uproar over the color timing of Shout!'s BD transfer like they were for TT's NOTLD 90 BD? Clearly, Day of the Dead is the better film and warrants the better treatment....unless that is how Day of the Dead was always intended to look?

I just watched it a couple of days back, looked amazing to me, like a brand new film. I cant see anything to complain about.

Yeah I don't see why people aren't freaking out about this more. Not that they need to, it just seems common among horror fans to bitch about such things. Like look at the debate going on about the new transfer of Halloween on the blu-ray.com forums, yet nobody really seems to mind the new color timing on Day of the Dead. I know Halloween obviously has more of a fanbase and is the more well respected film of the two but I still thought I'd see more backlash lol.

However, I just think films are going to continue to be color-timed differently on each home video format. Halloween they fucked up a decade ago, but in most cases I think color-timing changes are harmless. The new Halloween color timing IMO looks great.
