Daria Nicolodi, actress/writer, has passed away this morning.

Confirmation from an Italian website (translated to English from Italian, so some of it may be slightly off): "Daria Nicolodi , icon of Profondo Rosso in which she played the role of Gianna Brezzi, is dead . She was 70 years old. Daria Nicolodi, who died in the morning, has long been Dario Argento's partner . Their relationship was born in 1975, the second daughter Asia . Daria Nicolodi, born in Florence on 19 June 1950, was an actress and screenwriter. To give the news of the disappearance the teacher Dario Argento, who had a partnership with her that had linked them on the scene and in life. They met in 1974, when she was already established for having worked with Elio Petri, during the casting for the film Deep Red and from their relationship was born, in 1975, the second daughter Asia, who made her the grandmother of two grandchildren born respectively in 2001 and 2008. With Argento he then collaborated in various ways on all his films, from Profondo Rosso to Suspiria (1977), Inferno (1980), Tenebre (1982), Phenomena (1984), Opera (1987)."

    R.I.P. Daria.

Might have to watch Phenomena tonight in her honor. Or Inferno, Opera, Tenebrae, or Shock. I saw Deep Red not too long ago on Last Drive-In, and Suspiria on Halloween.

    R.I.P. :(

Asia posted (in Italian) on Instagram that "you won’t have to suffer anymore" so I'm guessing it was most likely cancer or some other disease?

Very sad news to read today. Especially love her in Profondo Rosso and Phenomena. Daria was always a welcome presence in films. Also, she co-wrote one of my all time favorites - Suspiria.

I moved this to General, since we had two people start identical threads. I guess they don't see the Euro Horror forum on the main page.

When some no talent non famous rapper gets shot in Atlanta it's plastered like a fly on shit on Google. Daria dies and I don't see NOTHING on Google news? Actress, writer, producer extremely talented etc. etc. NOTHING!??

Just an FYI, the version of Shock airing on Shudder is really bad.

I need to check out more of her movies. I've only seen her in Inferno so far in which she had a stylish role. I didn't notice that she helped write Suspiria.
